DJ K-TellDJ K-Tell, aka Ricky Paul, was born on a cold, rainy lunch in 5th grade when his teacher allowed him to play his Sweet and Bay City Rollers 45 rpm records for the class. Fast forward to 1991 when world famous DJ and recording artist Josh Wink discovered K-Tell and gave him a room for retro disco music at the infamous Philadelphia traveling parties called Vagabond. International
soul producer and DJ King Britt brought K-Tell to Silk City to contrast his acid jazz with retro guest sets. Benefits and fundraisers followed for such organizations as ACTUP Philadelphia and Grassroot Queers.  In 1996, K-Tell pioneered a monthly retro party spinning disco, new wave, rock and cheesey soft rock at Bob & Barbara’s Jazz Lounge The Dumpsta Playersand co-founded the resident performing group, The Dumpsta Players. In 2000, K-Tell took his skills internationally to Helsinki, Finland and in 2004, he spun the first BabyLovesDisco  right here in Philadelphia, now popularized in over 40 cities worldwide.
